To be able to scan your devices (currently limited to Windows based computer systems) for malware you need to install our Segira client (software) on each of them. It is this client that will access your device's resources, such as hard drives, SD cards, thumb or flash drives, CD ROMs and others and send just enough information about the found files to our server (the cloud) that we can classify them for you.
Installing Segira on your device requires 3 main steps if you do it the first time and
may require only 1 step for all subsequent installations:
1) Build your personalized installer.
2) Download the installer.
3) Run the installer.
Segira will build a personalized installer for you so you never have to deal with hassles
like key codes, product registration or the like. To get this process started you must first:
A) Create an account.
B) Log in.
C) Navigate to My Devices.
On the My Devices page you will see an installer panel (as seen below) at the bottom
of the list of your devices. If you haven't installed the client software on any devices,
this installer panel will be the only thing on your page:
When ready your browser should initiate the download of your personal installer automatically (alternatively there will be a link to download it manually). Depending on your browser and its settings the next couple of steps may vary slightly. We have listed the instructions for the detected IE browser. If we got it wrong or you would like instructions for a different browser, click on the corresponding link here: Chrome, IE, Edge, Safari, Firefox.
Click on Run to execute the installer.
On some older Windows 7 systems Setup may download and initiate the installation of
Microsoft's .NET 4.5 framework, which is required to run Segira Anti-Malware. You
will need to complete that installation before Setup continues to install Segira
Anti-Malware. All Windows 8 & up systems come with this or a compatible framework
If you have a 3rd party firewall product on your device it may ask if you want to allow
SegiraService.exe to connect to the internet. If so, choose to always allow this since the
Segira client needs to be able to talk to the cloud in order to protect your system.
Now that you have Segira installed on your device, the software should be communicating with the Segira cloud and should automatically initiate a scan of your system. If you left your My Devices page open in your web browser or whether you navigate there now, you should be seeing your new device and it should indicate that it is being scanned. Accessing Segira Anti-Malware is quick and easy. There is a new icon in your system
tray or notification area (likely visible in the lower right corner of your screen).
You may have to expand your area with the up or left arrow to see the icon. It will
always have Segira's signature logo
in the center but may have different background colors or display additional features
to quickly indicate the status of your system. For more help on the tray icon, please
